Electronic Design(PCBA design/hardware design)
Goldmate’s electronics engineers have been designing and manufacturing electronic products in China since 2004. We have the in-house skills and experience to develop embedded solutions, connected IoT devices and industrial equipment.
- Provide expertise for the schematic and system design of your product. We can work from a simple verbal description or a more detailed system requirements document.
- Provide physical layout of your completed schematic design. We can work from a CAD tool schematic output or a netlist.
- Perform the physical layout of your design in Altium Designer with all associated design files necessary to bid out your project.
- Deliver fabricated PCB’s based on submitted documentation or the design files we develop for you.
- Develop a complete BOM of active components necessary to implement your design.
- Deliver assembled PCB’s based on submitted BOM and fabrication documents or the design files and BOM that we develop for you.
Firmware/Software Design
We possess extensive firmware development experience bringing up custom PCBA’s and highly customized firmware oriented solutions for most standard platforms. Our firmware development services experience includes enabling support for PC-based systems, embedded systems, and wireless technologies over a wide variety of operating systems.
The following is a list of our Firmware Development services:
- Provide firmware architecture development for your project. This can be based upon simple verbal descriptions or more detailed system requirements documentation.
- Develop firmware to meet your system design requirements related to existing hardware.
- Provide resolution for hardware with functional issues related to existing firmware implementation.
PCB layout services - Altium Designer
An initial consultation to discuss your design is always free. We can help you select the right parts for your PCB design. We can take your schematic in any form (pdf, sketch, etc.) and convert it into a proper electronic CAD format. We will create Altium schematic symbols and PCB footprints for each part in your design. After completing the schematic, we will submit it for your review. We will create a PCB outline and do a preliminary placement of all parts. Upon your approval of the parts placement, we will continue with the detailed PCB layout. If your design needs flex or rigid/flex technology, we can help. We can also help you design firmware for your designs that contain microcontrollers and/or CPLDs or FPGAs. DELIVERABLES Complete Altium Project File including: Schematics PCB Layout Output Settings File
Design for manufacturing(DFM) Checks
We use CAMMaster and EMS Magician to check your design for DFM errors. -If you wish, you can provide a custom DFM Rule set to control the DFM process. -Silkscreen clipping is performed automatically if needed. -3D view of both front and back side of PCB. Fabrication Files: -Gerber Files -Drill Files -Rout data for PCB cutouts -BOM, including unit and 1,000 piece parts cost. -Pick and Place file (centroid data) for automated assembly. -Assembly Drawings. -Firmware files (if needed). Panelized Data – If your design can benefit from panelization, we will include at no additional charge. -We add PCB fiducials. -We add PCB rails with both fiducials and tooling holes. -You can specify X by Y array parameters. -We can add mouse bites and/or V-Scoring.
Mechanical Design
Products, like great ideas, are equal to the amount of work invested. Mechanical Engineering design is key when developing your product. What’s the use of a great product if it breaks easily and provides a negative user experience? Some companies skim by with so-called “virtual prototypes” or non-functional prototypes, which provide only a visual “shell” of the product. These virtual prototypes fail to include necessary engineering and are therefore inadequate preparation for manufacturing. Final products are ready for manufacturing only after all mechanical engineering solutions are complete.
